I work in a team of five that acts as the middleman for 30 listed companies, between the JSE and the listed company for all the compliance purposes relating to the JSE Listings Requirements.Daily activities:• Notifications of closed periods, requirements for trading updates, monitoring of cautionary renewal periods and periodic financial information submissions;• provide advice and guidance in respect of the continuing obligations of the listed company in terms of section 3 of the JSE Listings Requirements• reviewing and commenting on the interim and annual results and dividend announcements to procure the posting thereof on SENS and the publication thereof in the press• drafting of and preparation for the release on Stock Exchange News Service (SENS), as applicable, of routine announcements, such as trading updates, directors’ dealings, changes to the board of directors/company secretary/sponsor and cautionary announcements• reviewing routine documents of the listed company which are to be submitted to the JSE, submitting same on behalf of the listed company and generally liaising with the JSE in respect of matters of a routine compliance nature• ensuring that the listed company is kept abreast of changes and proposed changes to the Listings Requirements, guidance letters published by the JSE, and/or all other relevant communication that could have an impact on the listed company and/or its board of directors.• guide our clients on the interpretation and application of the JSE Debt Listings Requirements and assist them in meeting their continuing obligations to these requirements.• took part in discussions implementing a new performance appraisal platform and KPI tracker.• Engage with directors (CEO/CFO) and company secretaries of listed companies regarding a potential change in sponsor.
