Partner with HP to perform 2-phase deployments, providing all project management functions and Day0 and Day1 Support for deployments*Managed Illinois data center exit program to move more than two-hundred servers and over 50 applications and network devices from the CA Data Center to strategic US and non-US data centers around the world. Work with HP, IBM, and other vendors for network, power, HVAC, and fork-lift deliverables. End-to-End Project and Program management from requirements definition to operational readiness*Worked the CADC Exit Program, with over 200 hosts in scope. Migrated almost 60 servers in this program, over 100 in the previous program. These moves, in some cases, are addressing a DNP condition (Declining/Not Permitted), where an upgrade to some component is necessary (O/S, Oracle, etc.), which adds a level of complexity to the move. Some are moving to a new platform, such as from Solaris to Linux, creating many risks and dependencies. The migrations I am working currently can include a combination of migration strategies, including Physical-to-Physical via Platespin or other technology, Physical to CHP or UC, CHP-to-CHP, Fork-lifting, and others. *Managed the migration from outage scheduling and communication (including change approval processes) through the outage window and successful migration. Each project migration usually has some component of network to manage (unless it is a straight decommissioning of the server).
