  Responsibilities included:Undertaking research and study on the Indo-Pacific and India; Building linkages between Griffith University and Indian academic institutions and law enforcement agencies;Provide interviews to the electronic media in Australia and India and write Op-eds on Australia-India relations and Asian security; andProvide policy advice related to corruption-eradication and diplomatic negotiations regional stakeholders in the Indo-Pacific and Federal Parliamentarians from Queensland.In April 2015, I was invited by the Commonwealth Ombudsman office to interact with the delegation of the Ombudsman Commission of Papua New Guinea to share my views on improving the functioning of the PNG’s Ombudsman Office. It was followed by training delivered to the PNG Ombudsman Commission by UQ.In April 2015 I was invited to brief a group of Queensland federal parliamentarians on Australia’s strategic interests and challenges in the Indo-Pacific and how best engage with Asian powers, particularly India and Indonesia. The briefing had helped the legislators develop a deeper understanding of the Australia's foreign policy concerns, as was noted in their subsequent note of appreciation to us. Show less

  Responsibilities include building the University's engagements with Indian government ministries, bureaucracy, government departments, leading universities, strategic think-tanks and law enforcement agencies in the field of policing, security, governance, counter-terrorism, trade and business.• Invited by the Pro Vice Chancellor (International and Research) at the Industry Research Engagement meeting to discuss how to strengthen the university’s Indian engagement strategy and identify the areas an investment wherein the university could expect a good return of investment. I am currently assisting the PVC’s office in finalising his engagements in India in May. • Requested by the UQ’s Deputy Vice Chancellor (Engagement) to lead a discussion to India.• Secured the accreditation from the Bar Council of India for UQ’s law degree.• Interacted with the Director, Indian Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) to discuss the feasibility of joint projects and training in the field of investigation and corruption-eradication.• Interacted with the senior officers of National Investigation Agency to discuss collaboration in counter-terrorism.• Met with the Jawaharlal Nehru University Vice Chancellor to discuss ways to strengthen UQ-JNU MoU signed in 2003.• Met with the Director General, Indian National Police Academy to plan a high-level meeting between Indian and Australian law enforcement officials and experts. • Interacted with the Vice Chancellor, Jindal Global University to promote students' and faculty exchanges and research collaborations.• Co-developed and delivered the DFAT funded Corruption Eradication Short-Term Award for the senior Indonesian law enforcement officials.• Facilitated the placement of UQ's New Colombo Plan scholar at JNU, interviews with senior police officials, CBI and the Delhi Judicial Academy.
