    • Reckitt Benckiser

      Jul 2011 - Jul 2012
      Sensory Analysis Technician (Student Placement)

My duties involved, designing and conducting sensory perception and perceived efficacy tests and surveys for Veet, Durex, Clearasil, Scholl and E45 products in development.I organised and managed consumer panels to participate in product tests and updated and maintained panellist information databases. I was in charge of statistics on my team, teaching my team members appropriate statistical tests and designing statistical method guides. I conducted and oversaw the statistical analysis of product test results and produced test reports and presentations for senior management and project leaders within the Research and Development department. My job involved liaising between research, regulatory and clinical teams to establish product testing networks, resulting in effective and informative product test procedures with fast and reliable results.Due to this being a student sandwich placement I conducted an academic research project for one day every week. This involved a microscopy study of human hair swelling trends in a depilatory solution based on the Veet cream formula. Show less
