      Managed a staff of ten personnel who provided operations support for the NCSA’s supercomputer facility. Managed the facility and insured the environmental integrity, functionality, and site security for all supercomputer class systems on an around the clock, on-call basis. Responsible for the problem and change management aspects of the Center. Also responsible for facilities site planning and management, capacity planning, and serving as a member of a team which helped build the most reliable supercomputer facility anywhere in the world at that time, with overall system reliability statistics in excess of 99.95%.       Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the BRC and works closely with many academic units including the Vice-President for Administration, the Provost and Vice-Provost for Research, academic deans, directors, and department heads and academic leaders from other institutions who lease space in the BRC. Ensures efficient, productive and compliant operations for all building architectural, engineering, environmental engineering and sustainability issues, maintenance, grounds, and custodial functions, environmental health and safety, security, information technology, audio/visual support, parking, logistics, delivery and inventory services, food services, vendor relations, and vivarium operations and facilities support. Leads the executive oversight committee addressing key operational issues. Develops and directs strategies for operational activities successfully supporting the BRC’s educational, scientific research and interdisciplinary collaborations. Assures appropriate management, service delivery, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and compliance related reporting activities within the BRC.
