  I moved on to the Head the Finance Division team of John Keells Holdings PLC as Manager Finance in November 2012. After about 8 years in Corporate Finance, this was a challenging task since I was diving into hardcore accounting. The JKH Finance Division is responsible for the finance related work of JKH PLC - Company which includes 15 departments. The responsibilities of the division include timely preparation of financial reports both for internal and well external reporting purposes, coordination and preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts, tax planning and ensuring tax compliance, assisting the treasury division when managing the funds, ensuring proper controls are in place, managing the year end and interim external audits with our auditors - Ernst & Young, making supplier payments, making regular dividend payments (generally 3 times during the year), dealing with the companies in the entire group with regard to centralised services provided to them and managing both internal and external debtors. We operate in a SAP environment, which has been implemented group-wide. Show less Having joined the company in 2004 as an Assistant Manager, I have worked on several aspects related to Corporate Finance & Strategy. Some of my job responsibilities include : Coordinating, driving & monitoring the Annual Planning & Re-forecasting process for the entire JKH Group, investment appraisal of projects, valuation of acquisition targets, liaising with external stock analysts who cover JKH, preparation of investor relations material, preparation of reports & presentations to the Board & top management, coordination & consolidation of the "Flash" reporting process of the JKH Group. I am also involved in the preparation of the JKH Annual Report, coordination of performance reporting to the JKH Board. I was also part of the group-wide SAP implementation project being a member of the SAP Business Intelligence module roll-out team. Show less
