      Long Term Substitute Teacher

As a long-term substitute teacher for AP Physics, I was entrusted with maintaining the rigor and continuity of an advanced-level curriculum. My role required a dynamic combination of planning, organization, and leadership to ensure a seamless transition for upper-level high school students while upholding high academic standards. Key responsibilities and accomplishments include:Organizational Expertise: Managed the pacing of the course to meet key AP exam milestones, ensuring students were well-prepared for the kinematics and dynamics sections. Created and updated resources, such as examinations and laboratory experiments, to reinforce technical understanding. Adapted instructional methods to accommodate varied learning paces and styles within the classroom.Technical Expertise: Provided in-depth instruction on kinematics, dynamics of rigid bodies, rotational motion, and harmonic motion. Utilized advanced problem-solving techniques involving integral and differential calculus to perform first-principle analyses of forces, energy, and momentum. People Management: Fostered a collaborative and inclusive learning environment for a diverse group of students, including local day students and international boarding students. Effectively managed classroom dynamics while maintaining discipline and engagement.Student Feedback & Growth: Provided constructive feedback on assignments and assessments, enabling students to improve and deepen their understanding of complex topics.Continuous Communication: Maintained regular communication with students, department leads, and administrators to address concerns, track progress, and celebrate student achievements. This role honed my ability to balance multiple priorities, to include my primary military duties, while inspiring students to excel in a demanding academic setting. It deepened my passion for teaching and my commitment to nurturing critical thinking, problem-solving, and resilience in future STEM leaders. Show less
