Even applying simple physics to military fortifications. But found red tape prevented me from making use of this.In short, I wanted a piece of paper to say 'I can do this'.I was hesitant at first as i'm not an academic, still not but ill certainly try.I certainly gained more than i expected, favouring the design element and inspired by the CAD, Solidworks program. As I wasn't academic and more worldly than the others I always volunteered for extra duties including course representatives, team leaders and any media work so that I can shine in some areas and the others could concentrate on their grades. I review and modify the pay of all the soldiers in the company. I use the database system and human resource management software Oracle. As well as aid instruction on use of this system. Below are bullet points of my work roles:-• Review and Verify service personnel's pay each month using the SOEASI database, cross referencing with ORACLE HR database JPA (Joint Personnel Administration)• Under go bank runs to deposit cash and cheques.• Advise service personnel on allowances and pay.• Give 'Protecting Information' presentations to all levels.• Redact sensitive documents for further processing.• Update and create observations and information on JPA.• Frequently review large policy documents (JSP's) to monitor any changes.• Research various benefits open to reservist personnel and publicise them i.e. Rail Cards and allowances.• Assist in training planning exercises, undertake Risk Assessments and nominal roles for logistical planning.• Create Spreadsheets on Excel adding extra functions such as equations, then publishing on the intranet file sharing system MOSS.• Teaching others Excel shortcuts.• Liaising with counterparts around the world ensuring a Soldiers admin is up to date and correct.• Advising soldiers on the use of self-service JPA.• Troubleshooting and servicing unsupported ICT equipment.• Ensure attendance registers are produced when required. • Support the civilian AO civil servant and advising on military systems.• SC - Cleared Show less As 2IC I was responsible for management and welfare of a team of 8 men. In barrack environments this was ensuring their punctuality, presentation and light managerial duties. I also taught lessons to the unit, my personal favourite being vehicle search's as I could be inventive and cause the soldiers to think about the picture. In training and war time the role changed to a high stress position, constantly micromanaging each soldier to make sure they were functioning efficiently. Checking ammunition states, they were fed and watered, applying effective battle discipline as maintaining my self and my superior. Show less

      Freelance Photographer/ Props Man

I loath to call myself a Photographer when people put so much effort and time into it. However seeing as people have tried to pay for my work, and businesses recommend me I suppose one should add it as an experience. Notable experience is At Events such as :- DarkCide(music event)- at 53 degrees Preston The Temperence Bar- at the shop opening in Botony Bay UCLan Burlesque Society- Requested for their show night at Blitz venue. Preston Roller Girls, Sports photographer for the Roller Derby boutsI enjoy taking doing various photoshoots, from savages on the beach to a vintage shoot on Preston Docks. I can often be seen at various country shows taking photos of equestrian events. I am used by other photographers to construct sets and equipment. My range of abilities seems varied for example a portable yet powerful fan for fashion shoots, which is now requested by more photographers, extremely powerful halogen lighting rigs that can be set up anywhere. To pyrotechnics where I set up various (smoke/explosions/fire etc) to be set off on demand.I am well used for props, I either own them already, can build them or know where to acquire them from. I can supply various weapons, swords/real guns/rope rigs/outfits/accessories and custom props with suitable notice given.Note I said try to pay me. I only accept fuel money and any expenses. I work on a Karma based system for my photos, ill be rewarded in time, either with more work or gifts and general positivity. On your head be it should you use me and I get nothing in return.http://www.myfinepix.co.uk/gallery/1051743/619114 an example of my fun vintage shoot.http://500px.com/J_von_Voges for my lovelies. • Scare Kingdom Scream Park Ltd.

      Sept 2015 - Nov 2015
      Scare actor

An unusual situation to find myself in, I'm not normally associated with acting or customer interaction however I quickly adapt to what the situation requires. I became a seasonal actor at the organisation in order to support my partner whose dream job it was. It made logical sense for me to undertake the role as I'd have to transport my partner every work night. So got the same job to supplement my military duty takings. The role included taking instruction, adaptive acting to suit each different customer in order to get the best response, a scream. Being aware of health and safety in potentially dangerous behind the scenes environments. Rapidly learning new acts for relief work on occasion and working with a hugely diverse crew. Show less

      Design Engineer

Duties include designing and modelling of products to fit in commercial vehicles. This can include a complete plastic body for a pick-up truck or a storage assembly for existing beds and hardtops. As well as other requests that come for various uses all done via the CAD software Solidworks. This starts from quick renderings to make attractive models to sell the idea to a customer followed by actual design for manufacture using flat sheet plastic on the CNC cutter. Making models more universal to each other allowing for quicker adjustment for multiple models streamlining and increasing the speed at which new models for a chassis can be completed as per customer specifications.Other design elements include problem solving mechanical engineering issues. One such problem was a PTO application, on paper the engine-pto-pump should have worked efficiently. I liaised with continental clients, building a rapport with the suppliers by using the German I know and asking to change to english, creating a colour gradient spreadsheet as a universal language to show the staff on the shop floor what the values should be when matching the rpms via the gear ratios. Compared to actual readings using a stroboscope. Through this we deduced the PTO had the wrong ratio. -Dimensioning from imported models for best fit using an array of sources such as body builder portals.-Designing for manufacture for our CNC machine and plastic welding team.-Tasks when not designing are ICT support and graphic design for marketing and maintaining the website blog.
