  Women in Energy (WinE) Botswana is a non profit organisation formed in 2018 by a group of seven young proactive energy engineering graduates who were profoundly concerned about the participation of women in Africa's Energy Industry and believed that through active participation of women in this area,would yield practical Climate action and Sustainable Development. The organisation was mandated to promote gender diversity in the energy sector by advocating for women leadership roles, plan and develop energy projects that establish socio-economic opportunities for women, offer a platform to enable women to network though mentor-ship programs,training and educating and develop programs/projects that will enable their progression in the energy Industry.   Carrying out research and consultation in the development of Botswana National Standards within various industries and modification of international standards to meet criteria of practicality and international compliance thereby advancing the delivery of quality goods and services to consumers locally and internationally. Currently managing the following Technical Committees: • Packaging and Labelling Technical Committee (GDP5) • Facilities Management (GDP9)Responsible for preparing draft standards for review by Technical Committees (TC) and guiding the TC on the standardization approach. Carrying out product inspections and quality management audits to ensure adherence to BOBS certification and inspection schemes. Handling the promotion of standardization and quality assurance awareness in industries through participation and conducting workshops and seminars and undertaking industrial visits to stakeholders.
