  Wellnest (formerly known as Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic) has been a Los Angeles mainstay for more than nine decades. Since 1924, they have empowered children and young adults to get on the track to success, reach goals in school, build healthy relationships, and enjoy emotional well-being. As a student intern clinician, I was able to support the ISM program. The ISM program serves children, teens, adults, and older adults who are struggling with mental health and a general medical condition. Who specifically targets those individuals who have been unable to find culturally appropriate services provided by culturally sensitive, Spanish-speaking professionals. Under the supervision of a clinical supervisor I was able to to provide trauma-informed individual psychotherapy, groups, and collateral sessions. Conduct comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, risk assessment, clinical interventions, and coordination of therapeutic activities. Timely completion of DMH documentation including progress notes using an Electronic Health Record System (Exym).   We support and empower children and adults impacted by human trafficking by disrupting cycles of abuse and confronting exploitation through strategic partnerships and trauma-responsive education, advocacy, and systems of care.As a crisis case manager I provide crisis response & advocacy for clients within 90 minutes of crisis call throughout Los Angeles County. I work collaboratively with the Department of Children and Family Services, Probation, FBI, HSI, the District Attorney’s office, survivor service providers, and local law enforcement. I Provide short and long-term case management and advocacy services using a relational model to youth and adults impacted by exploitation and human trafficking. I also conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients needs and develop individualized service and safety plans, while supporting clients in navigating complex systems. Show less
