  European Solidarity Corps International Volunteer

  As a volunteer with Associazione TDM 2000, supported by the European Solidarity Corps, I:- Worked on the project LIVE for which I promoted human rights and volunteering through digital platforms such as social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Blogger), podcasts for the university of Cagliari and newspaper articles for a Sardinian newspaper. I also went to different schools to promote volunteering and European opportunities for young people. - I contributed to the organisation's Erasmus+ KA2 projects (projects for educational cooperation) through research, including desk research on good practices in Italy related to educative games, consent education, social entrepreneurship, rural youth inclusion, and people with disabilities in non-formal education. In addition, I conducted focus groups and tested developed tools through several workshops and other multiplier events. - I supported the organisation's local and international events held in Cagliari through logistics and workshop facilitation. Among others, this included local events with schools, local youth, seminars, and Erasmus+ KA1 projects (youth exchanges).- I also participated in the training of 8 new volunteers during their first week.   While in Cagliari, I had the opportunity to work with TDM 2000 International, a pan-European umbrella organisation comprising 22 member organisations from 18 different countries. I assisted the project "Changemakers for European Democracy", which is a project created in collaboration with the European Parliament that aims to promote the 2024 European Parliament elections among youth. More generally, the project aims to promote and strengthen European democracy and citizenship at the continental level, focusing on the active engagement of young people to drive positive changes in European policy through civil society efforts.For this position, my tasks included: - Overseeing project progress and ensuring effective internal communication with six partner NGOs from different European countries and other stakeholders.- Coordinating and launching the planning phase of the project. - Developing strategies for press campaigns and online platforms, including a new platform created for the purpose of the project. - Developing information content and dissemination. - Developing educational tools and designing educative sessions for students on the importance of voting, EU values and other relevant topics.
