My first Job in Canada, it was very hard to find a job in Canada, the very first question that any employer had asked me was 'Do You Have a Canadian Experience?' 'No, but you can put me to test and see how I perform', ' I need not be paid until you are satisfied.'I was hired , with no further questions. My job was to trouble shoot VHS and Betamax Video Recorders, either I would need to clean the heads and check the R.F waveform to verify if the heads are performing to its maximum pickup point. It was fun at times, other times mind wrecking, but on average I used to repair troubleshoot and repair 10 ~ 12 items a day, I made tons of money for my employer.Latter on I was trained on trouble shooting, diagnosing and repairing of Microwave Ovens, also doing leakage test after replacing any major components, I was very quick to learn and I used to complete just over 9 every week amongst other repairs. Service Manager Technician

I was in charge of the Shop, opening , closing, getting proper staff to work at the location, I was also responsible for attending to the customers needs, i.e, they would want me to give them an estimate to determine the cost of repairing their broken down Televisions, Audio, Video, including labor and parts, approximately how long they would have to wait, before they would have an answer. At times they would want me to check their color problems on their Televisions, often I used to just degauss their Colour TV free of charge, if it didn't need any parts or labor, this was to maintain customer confidence in our shop and as a result we got their business and they would in turn send us more customers. The little free service used to work like as in the movie called ' Pay it Forward. Audio Video & Electronics Service Technician

I have a knack for troubleshooting and have worked on various consumer electronics products ranging from Television , Video cassette Recorders, Mp3 players, DVD recorders/players,Portable CD players, Home Theaters namely Harman Kardon, Pioneer, Yamaha, Denon, Bose and a great many others troubleshooting accuracy to the component level. I would refer to a service manual for the schematics and other required data for that unit and I also updated the firmware as needed to the various products that had come in for repair that had problems in this area. Being safety conscious, I troubleshot and repaired all the electronics to the manufacturers specifications.I have also worked on automobiles that have touch screen CRT as the main control interface to sub systems, I have trouble shot and repaired the touch screen interface in vehicles like the 1986 ~ 1989, Oldsmobile Toronado Trofèo, Buick Reatta and the Riviera also Cadillac Allante , never been afraid to step in and troubleshoot as I am a self taught individual, the moment I have the technical manuals, I read them cover to cover, before I know it, I would have figured out every aspect of the workings , including the various systems inter connectivity.Yet, I do not possess an Auto mechanics license, but I have a knack of doing any job in a vehicle like a Citroen, I even trouble shoot Hydro-pneumatic self levelling suspension, I can check pressures in its systems and have working knowledge of charging hydro-pneumatic spheres with dry 99.95% N2, as well as changing the membrane in the rebuildable suspension spheres and the accumulators. All this have no special manuals, but I have the knowledge of working with pressures of over 2400 pounds per square inch and as a hobby in these fine automobiles, I have acquired the skills to maintain these state of the art vehicles that ride Avant Garde.I am visual, hence I pick up much more than a common technician as I see holographically every detail of the system. ¤ Instruction on Safety, setup procedures that all the workers in the detailing follow.¤ Vehicle Lot , Tested new arrivals on the road, noted any defects of the vehicles and reported to the team looking after sending to the repair shops.¤ Parked as well as separated vehicles, to be parked in rows to make them presentable on the Lot.¤ Printed Labels, with price Tags and the description of model, year, mileage, new information details already in the database, hence easier to work, minimise any mistakes and if there were any mistakes with reference to the vehicles that the labels were being attached to, the management gets informed. Show less My responsibilities once a week were to check the number of vehicles count matches the inventory list, other than that to ensure that the vehicles are well sorted and parked sequentially in rows, there were no markings on the lot, but I devised my own laser device, this latter helped me to park same make of vehicles in the same line, but equally distanced from one another, such that they can be viewed by the customers, without restrictions.Other than that starting the vehicles and noting that it have enough gas in the tank, battery okay, charge where necessary, check the condition of the battery after fully charged to maintain and verify that the batteries have at least 70% CCA, , if not then the batteries would be replaced to maintain customer satisfaction - we don't want the buyers to get stranded in the middle of the winter and or the summer as a result of a dud battery. Also, making certain that the sales personal isn't placed in an awkward position when they are showing the vehicles to a prospective buyer.I also made certain that the vehicles were kept clean inside out, any issues kept to the minimal.
