    • FRISA

      Feb 2014 - Dec 2016
Student – Researcher @ Metallurgy Department

      • Conducted research in conjunction with the firm FRISA FORJADOS SA DE CV. Researching of heat treatments parameters for forge die tool steel following by a scientific thesis project. • An important finding for this project was the high quenchable of the steel and the significance of its processing during quench and tempering to ensure not just optimal mechanical properties but a high work life.• While the project was developed, I had the opportunity to support and supervise bachelor students who were trained to operate diverse lab devices. These students were even capable of presenting projects for important international forums after been capacitated for it.• With this project was possible to present progress and results at international symposiums and industry congresses throughout Mexico and the United States.• During the last year was possible to accomplish an exchange with The University of Sheffield on the UK. Here, several heat treatment tests were performed for the cylindrical samples of the studied steel, in order of analyze microstructural and mechanical behave under different heating rates. Special coiled furnace under the principle of magnetic induction, made it by master and doctoral students at this university was the one used to control heat/cooling rates temperatures.• Thesis was presented into the time proposed as “Heat treatment transformations for a L6 tool steel”. Apr 2016 - Jul 2016
      PHD Student

Stay at The University of Sheffield. Using an induction machine for controling heating rates during quench and tempering heat treatments. The purpose of this work was:1.- Study the phase tranformations during tempering at differents heating rates for a tool steels.2.- Publish a international paper from UANL FIME in colaboration with The University of Sheffield.3.- Cultural exchange.

    • Universidad del Valle de México

      Feb 2017 - May 2017
      LX Executive Bachelor Professor

      • Teaching for Jr high school students leading tutoring for low performance students. • Organizing sessions of physics, math, and manufacture processes subjects. Students developed main topic skills by group practical labs.

    • TenarisTamsa

      Jun 2017 - Sept 2018
      Senior Researcher

      • Develop of new manufacturing route and enhancing mechanical properties for new product tubular automotive components as airbags and shafts.• Toughness improvement by the implementation of new chemistry micro alloyed steel focused on Nb.• Charpy ASTM test was altered in order to, measure toughness for small tubular components.• Also was possible to improve the contact between the operational with the R&D departments, by daily visits to operation and monthly presentations of project progress. • Outdoors activities with the department helped to improve the touch with the different cultural exchange that the company gives. An international cultural mix that you can experience being part of Tenaris. These outdoor activities were important to meet people, their customs and getting a better work environment. Understand customs, vocabulary, accents even when you speak same language, helping to not get loose at work. Show less

      Sept 2018 - May 2020
      Metallurgical Processes Specialist

      • Operational support for process engineering and research of product development for steels and super alloys.• Metallurgical consultant supporting sales department to approval client requirements accordance with FRISA´ facilities; supporting quality department responding requests about processing and re-processing incidences; supporting lab department to approval mechanical tests and/or exploring new methods of sample preparation for microstructure/grain size/inclusions characterization. • Follow/Verification of heat treatment regression equation implemented as automatic manufacturing service in order of improve employee´ productivity.• Weekly KPIs reports mainly to reprocessed parts heat treatment operational. Also, describing some departments flows and presenting plans to avoid these reprocessing events. Departments involved as: Materials Engineering: ingot condition/size/chemistry; Forge Procedures: forge temperatures/tool performance; Heat Treatment operation: parameters selection as time/temperature, space set up, heating and quenching rate, even weather consideration; Machining: set up of the part to be machined, tool selection, cutting parameters.• Optimized and improved heat treatment processes. Projects important to mention: “Decreasing the mechanical deformation of forged steel alloyed rings”, the above through alternative heat treatments. Also: “Developed new method of machining carbon steel”, using several parameter selections by statistical means.• Reporting of wear evaluation of different steels microstructures; these projects related to die forge tools with unexpected low work life and developed new product as tool steel for hot die forge applications.• Workstreams were implemented during pandemic with the aim of “keep in touch” a good work environment. Performing from home teamwork activities by stream and online tools instead of presential work rooms. These dynamics enhance contact with different departments than a presential work. Show less

      • Audited high school district’s classroom practices to ensure lesson plans were being followed. Following of students’ progress according to psychological and academic performance reports. • Viability with parents and relatives to understand low performance into student then to implementing individual lessons plans aiming a scores improvement. After the above, was possible to improved students’ performance, attendance motivation, high participation at class and empathy with others.• Collaboration with various departments as principal, coordination, administrative staff, teachers and even cleaning service were essential to create an ideal unit, generating a good student environment. • “Activation practices” as exercises at shift beginning, this was an important practice to attendance motivation and avoiding delays. This activation practices consisted of simple dance/exercise choreographies with loud/not noisy music aiming the brain oxygenation and improve blood pressure to “start” teenagers before classes.• Content creation and research for teenagers with the aim ease learning and getting into the actual teaching tech generation.
