Effectively managed complex projects from inception to completion, tracking timelines and budgets and enabling cross-functional team collaborations.Designed, implemented and deployed studies for leukemia research and pre-clinical drug development. Designed and implemented studies for expression of RNO gene, using nitric oxide induction leading to apoptosis in HL-60 cells.Worked on screening and development of JS-K, a nitric oxide pro-drug, created in order to develop new anti cancer therapeutics with fewer side effects. JS-K has shown single agent activity in animal models of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), multiple myeloma (MM), non-small cell lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, prostate cancer, glioma and Ewing’s sarcoma. The FDA has granted orphan drug designation for JS-K for the indications of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and multiple myeloma (MM).Worked on different strategies for drug discovery and drug development.Trained and supervised pre med and graduate students. Research And Development Scientist

Managed, optimized and delivered projects focused on molecular mechanisms that connect early life events such as pre-maturity to adult diseases like diabetes.Developed an inexpensive, simple, and reliable method to collect and stabilize high quality RNA from whole blood lymphocytes during prolonged transport in rural areas, for later experimental use, which enables and enhances the ability to study lymphocyte RNA in the third world and rural area populations.Developed, optimized and validated laboratory protocols.
