      I learned about Fuckup Nights back in 2015 when I attended the Startup Nations Summit and INCmty Entrepreneurship Festival in Monterrey and was introduced to the local organizers in Mexico, and came up with the idea to start the local chapter in Tbilisi.I eventually applied for the city license in January 2018, and organized the first edition of Fuckup Nights Tbilisi in April 2018. Since then, I've curated and organized over 30 editions, and expanded the event to Batumi.The chapter has broadened its audience and welcomed speakers from other European countries (Spain, Lithuania, Armenia) who traveled to Georgia to participate in the event.In October 2019, Tbilisi was recognized as an Impact City among hundreds of cities in the Fuckup Nights global network.Another important achievement of Fuckup Nights Tbilisi is that it survived the Covid-19 pandemic — the events were taking place online or in hybrid mode during the quarantine. Additionally, remote events allowed to have speakers, well, from remote places — from Germany, Spain, Mexico, and Canada.The series has hosted over 160 speakers from all walks of life – entrepreneurs, executives, investors, lawyers, journalists, civil society activists, entertainers, creatives, students, ambassadors, night mayors (yes, that's a thing), former ministers, an NBA champion, a professional interpreter, a nutritionist, and even a carpenter.
