Was provided with exposure to all the relevant departments including Production and Utilities Operation, Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Department, Laboratories and all area of Maintenance Department i.e. Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation. The program aims to provide new employees with the knowledge and understanding of both the operational and management side of the plant.Post rotation was placed in charge of Area 2, which mainly consist of auxiliary processes for the plant’s furnace operation.       Lead and enhance all logistics operations from manufacturing to customer delivery, ensuring that the processes adhered to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines, while collaborating extensively with internal teams, 3rd party logistics providers, and NHS Supply Chain. Oversee UK inbound volume from various suppliers in Asia and Europe, managing container scheduling, customs clearance, and cost control. My responsibilities include managing internal container movements, ensuring 3PLs compliance with KPIs and service agreements, and partnering with GAMA China Supply Chain team to align product flow with demand strategy. Handle non-standard inventory issues, deliver cost analytics to the Supply Chain Leadership Team, and validate logistics partners invoices to ensure budget adherence and operational efficiency.In this role, I successfully led the execution phase of the warehouse relocation project, coordinating the depletion and movement of 9,000 pallets into the new warehouse, completing the move 40% under budget and on time. Revamped the invoice verification process, improving to 100% screening from 10%, and preventing around £400k in overpayments in the first year it was implemented. I also improved logistics data analysis and reporting, providing crucial insights to allow for better planning. Additionally, I renegotiated ocean freight contracts for more favourable terms and optimized volume management between freight forwarders to balance cost and service level, especially during the current shipping climate. Leveraging on my advanced Excel skills, I took over the development and management of our Supply and Demand Planning tools from external consultant, saving £30k annually.
