      Served as an active duty Air Force firefighter, providing structural and crash fire rescue protection to Peterson Air Force Base and the Colorado Springs Airport. Participated in mutual aid medical response, assisting Colorado Springs medics on several air terminal medical emergencies, administering first aid and providing other assistance as required. Took on fire dispatch duties dispatching appropriate crews to various airfield, structural, and EMS emergencies, relaying appropriate information to responding crews. Located fires in structures, isolated involved area to prevent fire from spreading, and facilitated extinguishment. Placed equipment, deployed hand lines, operated apparatus, turrets, master stream nozzles, and deployed ladders in support of firefighting operations. Performed entry, shutdown, and egress procedures on both military fighter, and cargo aircraft.
