Best student bird watcher of the year for Great Britain 2014 A Focus on Nature Jun 2014 As part of A Focus on Nature's (AFON) University Birdwatching Challenge, I was awarded the honour of being voted the best student bird watcher in this national competition. This was primarily as I started an Ornithology Society, that helped facilitate us as a team winning three categories (this one, most records collected and largest team) as well as setting a baseline for our contribution for the competition into coming years.
