  I am honoured to have worked for a Michelin recommended restaurant in my hometown. The Bucks Head cater for numerous customers from all over the world enjoying the magnificent food. These same customers compliment all off the kitchen staff for the hard work each and every one of us put into our jobs. We deliver a tranquil atmosphere and create beautiful dishes which are highly palatable. I am currently second chef which requires passion, quick thinking, problem solving, state of the art menu development, excellent knife skills, time management, ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, leadership skills, recently I have acquired an insight to pricing, placing delivery’s, patience, and conflict resolution skills.   During Coronavirus I presented resilience and the ability to adapt, during lockdown restaurants closed for several months. Therefore, I used my initiative to explore a new sector being retail. During this experience I learnt product knowledge, people facing customer service and stock rotation. This continued to improve my time management skills along with always arriving to work five minutes early. I also learned how to cash up tills, gained experience with using a float and general money handling with both cash and card payments. Show less

  Summer Internship

  During my time at with the EEECS Careers and Placement Team at Queen’s my role is to maintain and develop the main Careers website for Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science students. I regularly review the design and structure of the current website and implement changes as necessary to support a customisable product for other internal departments. My role requires liaison through telephone, email, web and direct contact with staff, employers and students for general queries and following up on essential documentation. I have also proven efficient organisation, filing and reporting of placement information including Indemnity Insurance documentation and International Student Attendance Monitoring. We provide a quality service to employers with regard to advertising vacancies, interview, selection and the recruitment of students and graduates. Coordinating and participating in Event Management such as; Placement Programmes, Employer Presentation and Careers Fairs. Generating necessary queries and placement reports. I have also gained an insight to the up and coming Power BI through collaboration with a wider placement team. Show less
