As a software developer, I was responsible for improving efficiency of internal tools to drive decisions with the relevant data. More specifically, my role included• Implemented a Drools REST API program on Apache Tomcat and to improve business analyst’s interaction and maintenance of business rules through a user-friendly interface to increase performance of business rules execution in python scripts.• Designed a cluster and load balancer architecture of the REST API program using Apache mod_cluster to ensure proper usage of resources for the program.• Created Apache Hive data extracts to validate proper ingestion of data from various source systems using Hadoop infrastructure.• Programmed a data pipeline platform using Python Apache Airflow to schedule, maintain and monitor various processes to confirm the data workflow jobs are running as expected.       In my current role at Bell as a Technical Product Manager, I manage the product roadmap, execution and strategy of different software tools to support the visibility and monitoring of critical power infrastructure (i.e Power Plants, Generators) which supports the Bell 5G network (Wireless). This role is both strategy in terms of product goals and roadmaps, but also technical strategy with the products that are being designed.My portfolio of products and programs that I manage include 5G security, connectivity, alarming and tracking of equipment. The role requires to interact with various stakeholders which include frontline technicians, network and security engineers, power specialists, program mangers and senior leaders.Some of my accomplishments include:• Initiated a digital first strategy/vision for the 5G security program to efficiently secure power infrastructure assets with the launch of the 5G mobility network• Reduced manual user effort up to 80% by implementing security focused processes and digital tools to apply security controls on the devices with minimal disruption to the network.• Aligned and influenced cross functional teams of power specialists, network, and security engineers by designing a network solution to enable remote connectivity on 600 generators saving $550,000.• Automated 70% of manual user intervention by introducing an API to automatically change, rotate and track passwords on over 5000 devices to align with the password policy• Transitioned a mobile application from using a monolithic architecture to a micro service driven architecture allowing for an automatic scalable system which reduces development time by 3 weeks to deploy a new feature or serviceWithin this role, I've also won the following awards:• Bell Canada Excellence and Innovation Award for implementing 5G security controls – November 2022• Bell Canada Certificate of Excellence for contribution to 5G Network Build – December 2021 Show less At Bell, I supported internal software development within the Bell Mobility (Wireless) division specific to software tools that help support visibility and monitoring of critical power infrastructure.
