      Shift Manager

While studying at high school, I started as a pizza maker and was progressively promoted, ending up as a Shift Manager at 15 years old. Relevant Skills/Tasks• Staff LeadershipLearning to lead and garner support of staff of all ages, were key areas of growth for me. Understanding what was expected of me, as well as what made different people tick, helped me perform this role well.• Handling Complaints and Deescalating SituationsI had to quickly get to the heart of customer complaints and offer solutions that appeased both the business and customer. I learnt to notice warning signs of quickly escalating situations and how they could be avoided. Ensuring the complainant felt their issue was taken seriously was important, along with knowing the best vocabulary to use to ensure a potentially explosive situation, turned instead into a constructive one. • Manage Staffing LevelsTo ensure a shift was successful, I had to know what skills were needed, who brought those skills and who would work well together. Anticipating how busy we would be meant I had to consider factors such as long weekends, weather or sporting events. This shows I can analyse situations and make calls based on the reviewed information. Show less

These skills will support me in leading a team and solving client issues.• Grades AnalysisThis role involved taking mass data and analysing, collating and drawing conclusions to inform senior staff members about student performance. Seeing connections and drawing conclusions from mass data are skills I developed from this experience that I now use confidently in my professional life. • Office AdministrationThis role gave me the understanding that it is the small tasks that make an office and any workplace run smoothly. Consequently, I always take pride in all tasks big or small. I worked constructively with a range of staff members, including senior members of the academic team, and developed the ability to work with a diverse range of others regardless of position. Feb 2019 - Aug 2023

As a Senior Associate at PwC, I served as the main point of contact between the client management team and PwC's internal team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. I was responsible for managing my own areas of work while staying across all team activities, coordinating regular check-ins with both the client and internal teams to maintain transparency.
