Experienced in designing and optimizing computer vision pipelines involving object detection, instance segmentation, and diagnostic image interpretation using PyTorch and TensorFlow frameworks.Currently involved in four ongoing research projects: 1. The primary research explores the detection of Ganoderma fruiting bodies and primordia as key indicators of basal stem rot disease on oil palm stems using one-stage object detectors, specifically the YOLO series (from YOLOv8 to YOLOv13). This work focuses on optimizing detection accuracy, real-time performance, and robustness under natural field conditions.2. The second research extends previous work by employing two-stage object detectors based on DETR variants, comparing their performance against YOLO models in terms of detection precision, generalization ability, and bounding box localization quality.3. The third research focuses on fruit estimation on oil palm bunches using instance segmentation models. The goal is to develop a scalable and reliable vision-based system capable of estimating fruit counts and maturity levels from field-acquired images. This project integrates segmentation-based approaches to improve object separation in dense fruit clusters and supports the development of precision agriculture tools for yield estimation and harvest optimization.4. The fourth research addresses a biomedical application, developing a computer-aided detection system for glaucoma screening based on the cup-to-disc ratio from retinal fundus images. The system employs deep learning-based segmentation and ratio computation to support early diagnosis and reduce the subjectivity of manual ophthalmic assessment. This research contributes to improving accessibility and automation in ophthalmic diagnostics.
