PRINCE2How does a project start? Someone somewhere has an idea. This idea is a trigger for a project; which becomes the means by which we introduce change. Projects are crucial both in entrepreneurship and today’s corporate business environment of team based business structures; providing accurate, timely and relevant information essential for decision-making process and quality management; ensuring key roles to meet customer requirements. My experience in PRINCE2, together with the strength and diversity of related project management subjects (MS Project, Risk, Quality and Strategic Management) which complement each other, provide a competitive advantage in an otherwise challenging business environment.Training in Project Management helps assess how a project starts by analysing where ideas come from, how ideas look like and what to do next. To be successful, a Project Manager should understand the reasons (why) the project is undertaken, scope and costs/benefits. There is a range of documents that needs to be prepared/created; including analysis of stakeholders, what to communicate to them and frequency. The risks, project management team (project organisation structure) and deliverables should also be analysed in advance.
