  -Work with business leaders at all levels to determine need, effort and priority of new data sources for the enterprise data warehouse.-Drive creation of detailed specifications for merging new data sources into enterprise data warehouse.-Translate requirements between modeling, ETL development, source system, business intelligence platform personnel and business leaders.-Create and oversee a robust standard quality assurance and data validation process. This includes identifying and implementing testing software that significantly reduces testing time.-Work closely with and drive database administration, system administration and networking groups to implement new technologies within the environment to keep up with increasing performance and reliability demands.-Participate in defining and implementing Big Data strategy. Approach includes Hadoop as a foundation and uses other open-source technologies such as Storm, Kafka, Trident and Hbase. -Work with client facing groups and clients themselves to define and create specifications for exports from the enterprise data warehouse.-Support Fraud Prevention group with technology integrations to fight online fraud. Continue to drive implementation of fraud prevention technologies into existing and emerging products.-Worked to combine legacy consumer data warehouses into new Teradata based enterprise data warehouse. From the data warehouse Ticketmaster is now able to provide premium consumer analytics to our clients.-Work with business leaders to implement revolutionary new secondary market ticketing platform and bring brand new data into enterprise data warehouse.-Maintain and validate strict compliance to PCI standards in the data warehouse environment.-Oversaw movement of data warehouse servers and storage from El Segundo, CA to Ashburn, VA. Migration included dozens of servers with nearly zero downtime on the services. Show less -Work with internal compliance team to implement PCI controls in data warehousing environment. This work included identifying and clarifying scope, recommending and executing remediation items and creating and implementing compensating controls. This effort reinforced our already highly secure environment by incorporating industry standard protections and controls.-Support exports from data warehouse systems to internal and external clients including SAP, internal BI and client reporting.-Oversee development of reports for finance, business, marketing and external clients.-Build and maintain relationships with hardware, software and storage vendors.-Integrated Ticketmaster data into 3rd party fraud prevention services. As the launch customer for the fraud prevention services we defined much of the process that is still in use today. This system moved the fraud rate from .069% to .043%, preventing over $1 million in fraud losses the first year. Subsequent rollouts to additional Ticketmaster systems showed even better results and further increased savings.-Coordinated and executed data center move from Los Angeles, CA to El Segundo, CA. This move was a few miles away and involved physically moving servers with a brief outage window. Show less -Teach, mentor and lead a team of four developers to expand reporting and business intelligence.-Worked with SAP implementation team to define, specify, build and deliver crucial data feeds to support SAP product. SAP is used for client settlement and financial accounting.-Continued to work with business leaders to develop and maintain Excel based reporting. -Coordinated with multiple teams to migrate data warehouse services from Phoenix, AZ to Los Angeles, CA. Move was done with no appreciable downtime for report and feed recipients.-Worked with management to create database operations group within the data warehousing organization.
