I formulated key aspects of strategy and policy to meet the club’s objectives based on the club's aspirations and ideas. Working alongside the other Directors and senior management team we led the club forward and ensured all parts of the club worked together as “One-Club” with a joined-up approach.“I would like to place on record my thanks to Nigel for his dedicated work on behalf of the Club. The overall aim of the Huddersfield Town Foundation is simply to help improve the quality of life for young people across Huddersfield and the West Yorkshire area. Its landmark initiative is “Early Kick-Off” Breakfast Clubs which has evolved to provide a complimentary healthy breakfast to supplement the wellbeing of children, many of whom it was identified, were sadly attending school daily without a breakfast to kick-start their day. With 17 schools being funded to provide EKO clubs that means 5,000 free breakfasts are served every week and approaching 500,000 in total.   Nigel Clibbens will become chairman of the CUFC 1921 Board on and run the club's day-to-day operations.A Carlisle Club statement described Mr Clibbens' arrival as "a continuation in improving the efficiency and operations at Carlisle United"."Nigel will work closely with the existing management team as well as supporter groups and our community. His role means he will be the key point of contact for first team manager".The Club added, he possessed "a depth of experience in both the football and business worlds and he made a massive contribution transforming Huddersfield Town into a forward-thinking, progressive and modern club. He played a big role in helping them progress off the field, as well as on the pitch through promotion from League One as they became established in the Championship."Carlisle Chairman Andrew Jenkins said he was "delighted" to welcome Clibbens to Brunton Park.He added: "The time is right for this latest change in our progression after those made last year."Along with his knowledge and skills he will bring a fresh approach and new ideas which we recognise as important for the club as we continue to rebuild after the floods and look forward."He has a good track record on and off the pitch, I know that we have someone who can take us forward."Nigel will run the club day-to-day and will work with the manager and the existing directors to do what is required to improve us.
