Through participating in different working groups I have built up an excellent understanding of local authority practice. My current role involves: • Being the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries regarding the Crisis best practice team, providing appropriate responses or referring to colleagues as required• Organising and facilitating regional events including content, set-up and co-ordination at different venues around the UK• Managing production of the bi-monthly e-newsletter and ensuring it is relevant, interesting, of high quality and delivered in a timely manner • Reconciling budgets, dealing with finance administration for the team and liaising with finance colleagues• Developing and maintaining information systems to support internal communication about projects and networking between projects• Producing content on Crisis’ best practice work for our internal and external web pages and social media, • Promoting Crisis’s best practice work to organisations throughout the UK• Representing the team in cross departmental meetings to ensure that the evidence we gather plays a part in all policy and campaigning activity • Manage office volunteers and temporary staff as required to support the overall work of the team.
