Responsibilities included reviewing billing manifests, equipment installations, pathway installations, cabling installations and the supplied test results for copper and fiber cable links. Efforts provided potentially saved SBCUSD $2,000,000.00 in over billing, supplied detailed individual reports of each sites installation practices, thus exposing code and fire safety violations.       As AAA Solar’s Design Manager, I was responsible for building the CADD and Design departments from the ground up. Using the CBC, CEC, BICSI standards as well as LAUSD print standardization formats.we built general installation details on all prints, Built the general SOW for all designs submitted to the customer. we also built the lay out of the logical network diagram (LND) sheet. Supervised the designing of the cable charts, fiber charts & the wireless access point charts.We built the electrical sheets now being submitted to LAUSD for close out documents.As Design Manager It also included collecting all structural information in the field on every site that required the mounting of wall or floor mounted cabinets as well as the repair of any existing cabinet that was to remain in place. With this information I worked with the structural engineer to build structural engineer details for our prints. I also put together the Bill of Materials (BOM) to be used throughout all of the packages.Supervising Project Engineer, I built a solid and experienced design team of former LAUSD personnel as well as experienced designers from firms that have done design work for LAUSD ITD PMO in years past. Under my supervision I had as many as 12 designers at the beginning of the projects. As part of the Supervising Project Engineer job I helped each designer understand LAUSD specifications for each project, whether it was RFP 1082 or 1090 Pkg-1, 2, 3 & 4. Not each package had the same specifications. As well as all industry standards, (BICSI, IEEE, EIA/TIA). Supervising Project Engineer, other responsibilities included scheduling for signature walks with LAUSD, Completing Bid SOWs, Bid BOMs, finalizing final sets of prints for Bids to LAUSD.
