Completing two dissertations taught me self-discipline and time management skills alongside my Society responsibilities, as well as research skills that enable me to source and analyse information thoroughly. Through group projects throughout my degree, my teamwork skills were honed; and through individual projects my own intellectual autonomy was developed. • Darlington Area Churches Youth Ministry

      Nov 2014 - Jun 2017

Leading an after-school club at St. Aidan’s Academy once a week for Year 7s & 8s. I engage with young people both individually and within the group, forming relationships with them that build confidence and enhance their emotional development. The group consists of a small talk, games and crafts to explore the school’s theme of the week. As a researcher, I have contacted each faith organisation in Darlington and the surrounding area about what services they are providing children and young people on their day of worship and during the week. I have nurtured relationships with them with an aim to provide support with their services. My findings will be published in a report later in the year, which will include proposals for DACYM on how they can address gaps and help with faith groups’ engagement with young people. Show less
