      Research Assistant

As a research assistant, I analyzed data in SPSS, created conference posters, wrote academic reports, and managed other students in the lab. The Child Health and Development Lab, lead by Dr. Sarah Watamura, studies factors that influence children's health and development, using physiologic measures of stress and health, observations of children in normative settings such as child care centers and at home, and laboratory assessments of cognitive and social-emotional development. The lab examines the dangers of stress, specifically in high risk families. I have received an undergraduate research grant to perform my own project within the lab. Along with my project, I worked to manage and train other undergraduate research assistants in data entry tasks. Show less
