  I began as a Staff Auditor in May 2004 and worked as a field auditor until December 2013. My role as a field auditor consisted of assisting ADM management by utilizing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve effectiveness of our organization's risk management, control, and governance processes. The primary focus was on financial, operational, and Sarbanes Oxley audits at auditable entities extending from origination, warehousing, and processing locations to corporate departments located across the globe. I worked in a team environment to provide analysis, information, and recommendations in an objective, accurate, and timely fashion via issuance of the written audit report, with access to all levels of ADM Management and the Board of Directors.In January 2014 I took over the Construction Audit Group within the Internal Audit Department, which is my current role. This position requires conducting financial and payroll audits of the third-party contractors that perform work at all ADM locations throughout the United States and Canada. I work with our third-party contractors on each assignment to obtain and review various financial documents and reconcile actual contractor costs to estimated time and material billings and verify payroll for accuracy. I provide Operations Management with actual cost figures for time and material work performed at ADM locations. I manage multiple, comprehensive audits simultaneously and communicate audit procedures and findings to Operations Management and third-party contractors through concise written documentation and verbal discussions of audit findings. I manage conflict between location management and third-party associates to arrive at a resolution. I am responsible for creating the annual audit schedule for the Construction Audit Group based on an internal risk assessment of third-party contractors in North America, which consists of 200+ vendors with over $350 million in sales.
