I led several primary design projects for Transpower including the replacement of the 110/33 kV Albury Transformer, Junction Road Substation (greenfield substation design) and the Gore 33 kV Outdoor - Indoor switchgear conversion. I also undertook other projects relating to project management, secondary and SCADA systems for a range of clients. I led and completed complex earthing investigations, reviewing the effectiveness of mitigation measures for clients. I undertook several primary designs including the under grounding of the dual Kaiapoi-Southbrook 66 kV circuits for Transpower. I travelled accross New Zealand and Australia undertaking off-frequency injection testing and earthing system analyses. I also produced earthing system and lightning designs in addition to risk analyses for earthing systems.
