  In this role, I am responsible for the day to day operations and management of staff, processes and outcomes in my unit. I monitor workflows, delegate assignments and work to staff, I help the development and assessment of staff through the use of staff performance and productivity measures. I also coordinates department processes with other revenue cycle departments to improve quality data collection, minimize denials, set standards and streamline processes. Specific to this position, I oversee hospital patient account operations and activities including the timely and accurate preparation and production of claims; denial and rejection work; and accurate collection of cash, adjustments and refunds. In 2019, I helped with the implementation of the Epic Resolute billing system. I am responsible for the identification and resolution of: all system problems and use of AR operations report production to identify billing issues and all patient billing problems. My goal is to achieve a high level of performance as measured by exceeding the cash collection goals, and by payer days in AR favorable to industry standards. Show less
