  My extensive work as a teaching assistant has allowed me to collaborate with other teachers and draw upon the theoretical aspects of my degree in a challenging professional context. Working alongside so many career teachers has given me an inspiring but equally realistic perspective upon my desire to teach in the primary age range, and although my responsibilities within a learning support initiative have been emotionally draining, the constructive criticism I have received and acted upon has been invaluable. Work involved coaching my own group of children to which I had to plan each session following a specific theme, deliver the session and feedback to the head coach after each session.

  Coaching in various Primary Schools in Gloucester working as a P.E specialist as part of the Sports Premium Scheme 2013. My roles and Responsibilities include: - Supporting schools on their quest to raise standards of provision and learning in PE.- To raise the profile of competitive sports.- To encourage a well-rounded education, through the development of attributes more easily nurtured through sound PE provision such as: self-esteem, confidence, morale, leadership, teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.- Ignite inspiration amongst children through embodying and exuding all the admirable qualities that a strong role-model should have.- Ensure that children affiliate P.E with fun, encouraging higher participation levels at an older age. - Work as a mentor to current Primary School teachers encouraging CPD everyday. - Lunch time and after school club provision - extended schooling support.   After achieving a First Class degree I won a graduate scholarship post within my college’s Sport Science department and have been given special responsibility for learner support and the planning of practical coaching seminars alongside my lecturers. Mentoring first and second year degree students has allowed me to broaden my experience base outside of sport itself, asking me to build relationships with a wide array of learners whilst helping them to grow in personal skills and confidence across many topics. The variety and intensity of these tasks has been overwhelming at times but they have been invaluable in developing my ability to reflect authentically and practise transferable skills such as personal organisation and creative group problem-solving.
