(Acting: May 23-Jan 24) In this capacity, responsible for comprehensive plans and policies covering the life cycles of military and civilian personnel. Serve as the principal deputy to the DCS, Manpower, Personnel and Services, with oversight of a $47 billion portfolio supporting 685,000 military and civilian total force Airman. Oversee development of strategies, policies and systems to foster continued development of more than 660,000 military and civilian personnel. Serve as the Department of Defense executive agent for the Defense Language Institute English Language Center and as the Air Force Senior Language Authority, responsible for establishing policy and providing oversight of the Air Force’s, culture, language, and regional programs. Responsible for establishing force management policies for approximately 200,000 Total Air Force Appropriated and Non-appropriated fund personnel. These policies guide the recruitment, hiring, management, development, support and retention of the Air Force civilian workforce.
