  Brought the student voice to board meetings and decisions. Worked with the Advising Team to keep fellow Campus Chairpersons (and through them, student leaders in general) informed on major developments within the organization. Promoted Campus Chairperson engagement in large-scale organizational decision making, and hosted regular check-ins with Campus Chairpersons. Facilitated collaboration between chapters at DePaul by holding regular meetings with all chapter leaders. Strengthened leadership and club governance on campus and supported leadership transitions. Identified leaders on campus and nearby campuses to start new chapters. Led fun and educational events on campus and in the community to raise awareness of global health and economic disparities. Led DePaul University’s first Medical Brigade to Ghana. Organized a leadership conference for all Global Brigades presidents and directors in the Midwest. Oversaw and delegated tasks between sixteen directors within the DePaul Global Brigades executive board

  Midwifery internship

  2-week Midwifery internship in a small hospital located in Arusha, Tanzania. Worked closely with an amazing group of Midwives in the Labor and Delivery ward. Assisted in vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and dilation and curettage procedures. I was challenged in many aspects, as I had to learn how to provide safe and effective care to patients in an under-resourced and understaffed work setting.
