      Being a Project Director within the Cities & Transports division of the EGIS Group, I took part to our development into the Middle East, Asia and Africa. I drove and implemented an integrated vision of urban planning and development, combining innovative technical resources to project set-up and financial issues as well as effective project management.During 2 years 2013-2014, while managing the complex and large project of the new city of TAIF (KSA), I was in charge of several major bids in the Philippines, Democratic Republic of Congo, India and GCC countries.In 2015 during 10 months, I represented the EGIS Group within the "Bahrain French Town Planning Initiative", a cooperation partnership between France and the Kingdom of Bahrain, supporting a strategic and operational vision of urban planning and development policies in Bahrain. I traveled to Manama twice in order to understand better the local priorities and issues before building on the program. Show less AERIA has been operating Abidjan International Airport by concession from approx. 20 years, and was asked in 2011 to develop an integrated new urban area around the airport on 37 km² (6 km² for phase 1), called “Abidjan Airport City” (www.transports.gouv.ci/unesuite.php?rd=129).Locally based and managing the preliminary local team (5 people), I drove feasibility studies, including:• Detailed and phased urban program and design• Preliminary complete urban and engineering studies, up to Development Design• Translation of the project into statutory planning (Plan d’Urbanisme de Détail).Total civil works were estimated to €180M (€85M for phase 1).Reporting to Aeria board as well as to French executives, I also built strong governance for the project:• Drafted and reviewed the contract, business plan & business model with Ivorian Presidential and Ministerial advisors• Organized workshops and coordination with the different Ivorian Ministries involved (Economic Infrastructures, Transports, Urban Planning, Employment, Home Office), as well as with local authorities, in order to get the largest political approval for the project• Identified partners and possible funders (shareholders, banks); drafted and reviewed related information memos.When it came to final approval, we created a project-dedicated local company, developed marketing and communication strategy in direction of investors and local communities and launched pre-sales of land lots for private building projects.I eventually got the urban project approved by Ivorian Council of Ministers in February 2013, and got formal expressions of interest from the West Africa Development Bank and an Ivorian private investor.
