  Working under the direction of Dr. Nate Zinsser, the resident sport psychologist at the CEP, I assisted in developing mental skills training programs aimed at enhancing the resilience and performance of cadet-athletes. I sat in on performance enhancement workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions, and gained hands-on experience with psychological assessment and biofeedback. This valuable opportunity exposed me to cognitive-behavioral techniques first-hand in a high-stress environment.

  The Startup Generator (TSG) was a wireless technology-focused business incubator that operated on the tail-end of the Internet boom when mobile computing technology enjoyed a micro-boom that segued into the current excitement behind smart phones and mobile applications. TSG used the US-based WirelessWednesdays® networking events and "Wireless Strategy"-branded conferences to develop excitement and synergy behind the TSG-branded "collaborative workspace" and business incubators. Following the Japanese "Keiretsu" model, through WirelessWednesdays TSG formed and nurtured relationships between companies and entrepreneurs; helping them to explore synergistic opportunities, facilitate strategic alliances and build business partnerships. Working in a competitive and viscous venture capital environment, TSG's search for venture funding ceased during the summer of 2002 when the mobile tech bubble burst and I was asked to return in a leadership position located at IMPAC's global headquarters located in Punta Gorda, Florida. While a good concept, in the entrepreneurial world timing is everything. TSG was ahead of the times as co-working startups steadily increased in popularity for a decade between 2010 to their peak in 2019, signaled by the demise of the grossly overvalued WeWork. Show less
