The program is built around principles of experiential learning, interdisciplinary instruction, and applied approaches. I will be conducting my Summer 2022 capstone project in conjunction with the Big Thompson Watershed Coaltion, utilizing a wide range of techniques such as remote sensing and wildfire software modeling (through FVS) to social science research (small group discussions, town halls, direct interviews), to assist in the BTWC identifying areas of concern for their five-year plan.
