      • Enforcement of SAFFA 1975, Salmon Act and other legislation.• Survey work, netting, electric-fishing, liaising with landowners, councils, external and internal customers and provision of fishery advice.• Assisted in Salmon Spawning Duties in Upper Severn in November including counting Salmon Redds and Elver patrols in the Severn Estuary from February – May each year.• Various Fisheries Projects including creating a fishery for disabled anglers.

      • Project Manager for the North Wales Metal Mines Project managing External Consultants, Suppliers and Stakeholders along with a budget of £140K p.a.in 2011/2012. Project work was completed on time and within the budget. Elements of PRINCE2 were used along with internal structured processes.• Water Framework Directive (WFD) project lead for North Wales, managing consultants, improvement works and Health & Safety issues including risk assessments.• Collaborative work with teams in the organisation and with a large diverse number of stakeholders, consultants and contractors. Worked with Partners and Aberystwyth University.• Use of various IT packages including GIS, water systems, WIMS, NIRS (National Incident Response System) and other databases.• Undertook waste site inspections, issued licences, audited various waste sites and enforced environmental legislation.• Led on major incidents, including multi-agency incidents, acting as Area Base Controller, opening the incident room and co-ordinating staff. Provided pollution prevention advice to customers, industry and other Stakeholders.• Coached, trained & mentored staff in various aspects of Environment Protection.• Briefed Senior Managers on issues, risks and solutions.• Successful prosecutions on water and waste issues including flytipping, waste offences and pollution to controlled waters. Responsible for training (& budget) 10,000 staff across the business to issue permits, give pre-application advice and also regulate this Legislation. • Established and led a Business Reference Group to produce new permitting documents. Show less FOREST OF DEAN, GLOUCESTER & PERSHORE AREAS 01/1999 – 03/2004• Led on issues at large and complex sites such as Hempsted Landfill, Hill and Moor Landfill, Western Waterfront development, Gloucester Cattle Market, RAF Quedgeley, A417 tunnel proposals and Brockworth housing development involving Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS). Provided advice to the Western Waterfront Steering group regarding Environment protection issues including contaminated land and remediation of land; the importance of the Gloucester Sharpness Canal as a potable supply and pollution risks in the Gloucester Quays area. • Influenced developers to incorporate SUDS in a large development in Brockworth, which will improve the water quality of the Wotton Brook.RUGBY AREA and EVESHAM AREA 03/1997 – 12/1998 • Responsibilities as above.• Attended pollutions/incidents, fish kills, taking samples from discharge points, including formal samples, farm visits/inspections, giving talks at schools, undertaking pollution prevention visits and setting up discharge consents.• Identified cross connections in Rugby, work on Sow Brook, Identified and rectified Chlorine levels from Swimming pool causing General Quality Assessment (GQA) failures• Involved in Railtrack diesel clean up, costing £0.5 million.• Attended Agenda 21 meetings and other public meetings.
