  Intern Project Assistant

  [French below]As an intern in the "sustainable enterprises" department, I had the chance to work in New Delhi on the "women empowerment" project in partnership with UNDP. I was able to participate in field surveys with women micro-entrepreneurs and to assist them in the definition of their business plan. In addition to the professional skills acquired, this stay in India remains memorable from a personal point of view. Based in India, Development Alternatives (DA) is the world's first social enterprise dedicated to sustainable development. As a research and action organization, it strives to achieve "socially equitable, environmentally sound and economically scalable" development outcomes. Its innovations in green technologies for housing, water, energy, and waste management have reduced poverty and rejuvenated natural ecosystems in the most remote areas of India.-------------------------------------Assistant projet - DEVELOPMENT ALTERNATIVES - New-DelhiEn tant que stagiaire au sein du département "sustainable entreprises", j'ai eu la chance d'être mobilisé à New-Delhi sur le projet de "women empowerment" en partenariat avec UNDP. J'ai notamment pu participer aux enquêtes terrain auprès des auto-entrepreneuses bénéficiaires de micro-crédits et de les assister à la définition de leurs business plan. En plus des compétences professionnelles acquises, ce séjour en Inde reste mémorable d'un point de vue personnel. Basée en Inde, Development Alternatives (DA) est la première entreprise sociale au monde dédiée au développement durable. En tant qu'organisation de recherche et d'action, elle s'efforce d'obtenir des résultats de développement "socialement équitables, écologiquement sains et économiquement évolutifs". Ses innovations en matière de technologies vertes pour l'habitat, l'eau, l'énergie et la gestion des déchets ont permis de réduire la pauvreté et de rajeunir les écosystèmes naturels dans les régions les plus reculées de l'Inde.   Intern Assistant to the Direction of Change

  [French below]As an intern in the Direction of Change, my main mission was to work on the testing and deployment of the new project management tool "ATLAS". Through the iterative phases of this exercise, I was able to learn more about project managment, more especially at an administrative, budgetary and operational level. The follow-up of this deployment allowed me to consolidate a certain number of useful tools for the teams to take ownership of this change, and to develop a short and medium term strategy. Typical activities: production of summary notes, production of reports, development of internal communication tools, follow-up and personalized support to teams. As a French public agency, Expertise France is a key player in international technical cooperation. It designs and implements projects that sustainably strengthen public policies in developing and emerging countries and contributes to the achievement of the SDGs.----------------------Assistant à la direction du changement - EXPERTISE FRANCEStagiaire auprès de la direction du changement, ma mission principale a été de travailler au test et au déploiement du nouvel outil de gestion de projet "ATLAS". J'ai pu, au travers des phases itératives inhérentes à cet exercice, me familiariser avec les étapes de la vie du projet au niveaux administratif, budgétaire et opérationnel. Le suivi de ce déploiement m'a permis de consolider un certain nombre d'outils utiles à l'accaparation de ce changement par les équipes et d'élaborer une stratégie à court et moyen terme.   [French below]During my Master's degree, I was seconded by IRIS to the NGO CCFD Terre-Solidiaire. With my team, we were able to elaborate a project and an advocacy strategy around the issues of French economic diplomacy. From the ecosystemic analysis to the final report, we were able to carry out the research, budgeting, operationalization, monitoring and evaluation of the entire project. Because of its duration and complexity, this exercise allowed me to develop my technical skills in project management, to become familiar with the world of international aid and its actors, and to develop my skills in advocacy and influence communication. A historical actor of change in more than 70 countries, the CCFD-Terre Solidaire acts against all forms of injustice. The NGO works "so that everyone sees their fundamental rights respected: to eat their fill, to live off their work, to live in a healthy environment and to choose where to build their lives."---Consultant junior externe plaidoyer - CCFD-Terre SolidaireDétaché par L'IRIS pendant mon Master auprès de l'ONG CCFD Terre-Solidiaire, nous avons pu, avec mon équipe, élaborer un projet et une stratégie de plaidoyer autour des enjeux de la diplomatie économique française. De l'analyse écosystémique au rendu final, nous avons pu réaliser les recherches, la budgétisation, l'opérationnalisation, le suivi et l'évaluation de l'ensemble du projet. De part sa durée et sa complexité, cet exercice m'a permis d'à la fois développer mes compétences techniques en gestion de projet, de me familiariser avec le monde de l'aide internationale et de ces acteurs et de préciser mes compétences en plaidoyer et communication d'influence.   [French below]I had the chance to join the Communication Department of AFD for my end-of-study internship in the Influence and Media team. In the last 5 years, AFD has significantly strengthened its action. To support it in its objective of political and systemic impact, the team works to position the Agency as an institution of international scope, a reference on SDGs, a provider of expertise and a creator of impact on the field. To do so, it carries out several actions for which I was mobilized : Identification of French and international press opportunities, media partnerships, press relations, promotion of projects, press expertise, CEO/Experts influence strategies, promotion of events, etc. The unit also hosts the development media ID4D for which I directed the realization and publication of the booklet "10 years to act- 11 voices for a sustainable world".----------------------Stage - Chargé de mission Infuence et Média - AGENCE FRANCAISE DE DEVELOPPEMENT J'ai eu la chance d'intégrer le Département de la communication de l'AFD pour effectuer mon stage de fin d'étude au sein de la cellule Influence et Média (IEM). Depuis plusieurs années, l'AFD a significativement renforcé son action et a vu son mandat s'élargir. Pour l'accompagner dans son objectif d'impact politique et systémique, la cellule IEM la positionne en tant qu'institution de portée internationale, référence sur les ODD, pourvoyeuse d'expertise et créatrice d'impact sur le terrain. Pour se faire, elle mène plusieurs actions pour lesquelles j'ai été mobilisé : Identification des opportunités presses françaises et internationales, partenariats médias, relations presse, valorisation des projets et du réseau, appui presse agences, stratégies d'influence DG/Experts, valorisation des évènements entre autres. La cellule héberge aussi le média du développement ID4D pour lequel j'ai dirigé la réalisation et la publication du livret "10 ans pour Agir - 11 voix pour un monde durable". Show less

  Directorate at the French Development Agency (AFD), my role was to lead and coordinate communication efforts across the region.I was responsible for structuring and implementing communication strategies for local agencies in alignment with regional priorities and headquarters directives. I ensured coordination between local teams, the regional directorate, and institutional partners to maintain consistency in messaging and maximize the visibility of AFD’s actions.Operating in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities, I developed strong organizational and mobilization skills. I managed communication for key strategic events such as the FIN4BIO Forum, SUFIP II, high-level visits, and agency anniversary celebrations—events that required responsiveness, adaptability, and a solid understanding of diplomatic and institutional dynamics.Beyond event-based communication, I also focused on strategic analysis and reflection on major development challenges in Southeast Asia. I contributed to highlighting AFD’s projects and initiatives to key partners, including embassies, EU delegations, ministries, clients, and beneficiaries.Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the regional communication budget and strategy, successfully managing three consecutive budget cycles with precision and efficiency.This experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of institutional communication in an international context and has strengthened my skills in strategy, project management, and institutional relations. Show less [French below]Thanks to my experience at the Campus AFD, I was able to return to AFD's Influence and Media Unit, which I had left as an intern two years earlier, as a project manager. As part of a team of four people, I was mobilized for the major events of the end of 2021 such as the IUCN, the new Africa-France summit, Cop 26 and AFD's 80th anniversary. In line with our mission to promote AFD and its experts, we set up numerous media partnerships and organised the coverage of the above-mentioned events. As the crisis communication focal point, I was also largely involved with the Direction in the drafting of language elements and the implementation of a crisis management strategy in relation to several subjects. Finally, my experience allowed me to focus more specifically on strategic, managerial and budgetary issues for the team.-------Chargé de mission Influence et Média - AGENCE FRANCAISE DE DEVELOPPEMENT Fort de mon expérience au Campus, j'ai pu retrouver, en tant que chargé de mission, la Cellule influence et médias de l'AFD que j'avais quitté comme stagiaire deux ans plus tôt. Au sein d'une équipe de quatre personnes, j'ai été mobilisé sur les grands rendez-vous de la fin d'année 2021 tels que l'IUCN, le nouveau sommet Afrique-France, la Cop 26 et les 80 ans de l'AFD. En lien avec notre mission de rayonnement de l'Agence et de ses experts, nous avons pu mettre en place de nombreux partenariats médias, ainsi que d'organiser, entre autre, la couverture des rendez-vous cités plus haut. Point focal communication de crise, j'ai aussi été largement mobilisé auprès de la Direction dans la rédaction des éléments de langages et la mise en place d'une stratégie de gestion de crise en lien avec plusieurs sujets. Under the direction of Sarah Marniesse, I was able to lead the redesign of the structure's brand identity and supervise the deployment of the digital e-learning solution eCampusAFD. In addition, I was also the focal point for the 20 project managers and was able to work on many themes and geographies, which allowed me to practice and deepen key skills such as project management, communication/budget strategy development, institutional partnerships, research, digitalization, brand identity, editorial content, media partnerships and, logically, managing several subjects simultaneously. Outre cette dimension macro, j'ai également été le point focal pour les 20 chefs de projets et ai pu travailler sur de nombreuses thématiques et géographies, ce qui m'a permis de mettre en pratique et d'approfondir des compétences clé telles que la gestion de projet, l'élaboration de stratégies de communication/budgétaires, les partenariats institutionnels, la recherche et prospective, la digitalisation, l'identité de marque et le branding, le contenu éditorial, les partenariats médias et, logiquement, la gestion simultanée de plusieurs sujets.
