This involved refueling and regular servicing.After three months I was then transferred to Mine Operations as a Serviceman refueling and maintaining heavy equipment, lighting plants and bore pumps.   I work primarily in a Supervisory role, managing the national staff at a PNG LNG Upstream Infrastructure Project basedin Hides, Southern Highlands, PNG.I supervise a team of eight Fitters and Trade Assistants working on a variety of plant and equipment including:• CAT ADT 740• CAT Excavators, Dozers and Graders• Fleet of 150 Toyota Landcruisers• Service Vehicles• Fuel and Water Trucks• Lighting Plants, GENSETs• Vibrating Compactors• Chainsaws• Stationery engines for pump applicationsI am responsible for my team servicing, maintaining and repairing these vehicles. In addition to breakdown repairs, we work to a monthly maintenance schedule. Ordering of parts and maintenance of stock levels is also a requirement.
