  This is a virtual internship experience program offered by cognizant through Forage. In this internship program, I went through the supply chain issue faced by Gala Groceries which is a technology-led grocery store chain. Based on the dataset provided, I share the insights to the Data Science team about the stock strategy. If they overstock, they are wasting money on excessive storage and waste, but if they understock, then they risk losing customers. From the data they provided I gave some key insights to the cognizant data science team which if they feel meaningful could have shared to Gala Groceries. Show less

  Data Scientist Intern(Virtual Internship Experience)

  This is a Virtual Experience Internship program offered by Boston Consulting Group on Forage. During this virtual experience program I worked on a customer churn Modeling project. In this project, there is a hypothesis that price sensitivity is responsible for customer or client churn and on that basis the dataset is transformed to have relevant features which impact churning and give more power to predict the churning of customers. Then I trained a model using a random forest classifier and got to know some key insights that price sensitivity is not the main driver for client churn but the net margin, power consumption over 12 months and margin of power subscription these are the main driver of churning of clients. Model gave almost 90% accuracy and thus performed well. Show less
