  1. Investigated the mechanisms leading to evolution of diversity post founder events, especially the role of natural selection and genetic drift in ancient deer populations.2. Analyzed mitochondrial DNA from ancient deer samples obtained using next generation sequencing and genome sampling methods and performed various tasks including correction for post-mortem changes and amplification errors, sequence alignment, genome assembly, genome editing, phylogenetic reconstruction, and node dating.

  1. Analyzed epigenomic and transcriptomic datasets in human cardiomyocytes to identify significant disease-causing SNPs in relation to Genome Wide Associated Studies (GWAS).2. Analyzed on human and mice immune cell samples (ATAC-Seq and RNA-Seq) to identify the relationship between ageing and mitochondrial mutations and whether these mutations are a causal factor for disease related phenotypes.3.   1. Examined long term effects of COVID-19 infection in patients with varying severity of disease and how these changes alter immune system function and response. 2. Investigated the impact of aging on the regulatory programs of mammary glands from young adult and old mice and the role of these age associated changes affect breast cancer initiation.3. Studied the relationship between immune aging and influenza vaccine responses in order to identify individuals more prone to breakthrough infections post vaccinations.4. Examined the relationship between immune aging and pneumococcal conjugated vaccine responses to identify baseline correlates that differentiates between vaccine responders and non-responders.5. Developed a computational pipeline to process and analyze multiplexed single cell DOGMAseq (ATAC + RNA + Protein) datasets to study the immune responses at different timepoints caused by different vaccinations to Covid-19 infection.
