  As Executive Director I led three-year strategic planning process providing foundation for optimization of clinic services, and managed and supervised a staff of 10 operating a free medical and dental care clinic. I oversaw credentialing of over 70 medical, dental and clerical volunteers to meet Federal Torte Claims Act (FTCA) requirements, developed the annual budget, and supervised the annual audit and 990 filings.I oversaw all of the communication from the clinic to the public, served as press liaison, supervised the staff in publication of the monthly newsletter, and fine-tuned the public image of the organization.   Have you ever published or posted something, only to find out later there was an error? All too often, people focus on the mistake instead of the message you were trying to communicate. As a proofreader, I make sure that doesn’t happen by reviewing and correcting your documents for publication or posting. I grew my love for and skills in proofreading throughout my career, starting as a reporter for a small newspaper and then becoming a communications officer at a national foundation. Working as a nonprofit leader for 25+ years, I oversaw all external communications like press releases and newsletters. And as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), I checked the accuracy of grant proposals and solicitation letters. I am now focusing my skills on the field of proofreading. I have fortified the skills I’ve honed over my career with training in professional proofreading and serve my clients by providing the final review of their documents and all forms of written communication.
