Worked closely with Dr. Adlansyah, on an outsourced project in collaboration with a major utility company. My responsibilities included conducting a comprehensive feasibility study focused on biomass cofiring. The work encompassed several critical tasks: • Assessing the current and future availability of various biomass fuel sources in Malaysia, such as palm oil waste, rice, sugar cane, and solid municipal waste. • Developing a biomass supply chain model, using LSR clustering methodology and spatial analysis, to determine optimal locations for pellet plants. This model ensured cost-effective transportation and maximized efficiency. • Analyzing and proposing suitable locations for the EFB pellet plant, especially focusing on areas in Johor, based on the availability of palm oil mill waste and other logistical factors. This project's objectives included evaluating the availability of EFB biomass sources, selecting an appropriate site for the pellet plant along Johor’s palm oil mills, and strategizing waste collection and transportation to power plants.
