Communicated with patients who expressed interest in being a part of the lung cancer screening program, explained the importance in doing so, and checked their eligibility by cross referencing patient documents with surveyed responses. Edited policy memos with intern team and assessed final drafts for publication using collaborative tactics.

  Program Manager for ECHO CT Head Start on Housing, the first program of its kind in the nation that provides permanent housing to homeless families in Head Start and Early Head Start schools. Liaison with partnered state agencies and executive team to enhance cross-agency collaboration and produce continuous reports on program progress. Compile and maintain comprehensive database with information on all clients involved in subsidized housing program. Oversee involved Head Start sites to process and approve new referrals. Perform constant check ins with involved Head Start sites and advise site leads on supporting families with challenging cases. Ensure all Section 8 certificate applications are complete on behalf of clients, and coordinate with the Department of Housing to process and achieve security deposits for families in HSOH. Develop strategies to recruit and maintain housing, landlord contacts, and real estate agents to support program. Produced a written manual detailing partner roles, responsibilities, and program operations. Coordinate training, support, and technical assistance to Head Start sites participating in program across Connecticut. Show less Grant writing intern who appealed to various Connecticut-based and national foundations for funding to support a pilot program that provides permanent housing for families and children in Early Head Start qualifying as housing insecure. Wrote letters of interest and project briefs to various foundations and was able to raise over $150,000 from the Department of Housing. Augmented the NCHCW website with new material and design, and helped organize a conference for collaborators of the program and housed families. Led a case study on pilot program to evaluate feasibility of expanding ECHO CT Head Start on Housing nationally, and continuing communication with foundations for fundraising purposes. Show less
