  The assistant men’s golf coach assists the Head Coach in the administration of all aspects of the men’s golf program. The primary role for this position will be the Director of Instruction/Player Development. This position will also help ensure the program is in compliance with NCAA, Southeastern Conference, University, and Department rules and regulations.Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop practice plans - Coordinates team travel - Procurement of supplies and golf equipment - Work individually and in groups with the golf team to develop and improve student-athlete’s golf skills - Assist head coach with team at intercollegiate competitions - Evaluate and recruit prospective student-athletes - Assist with official and unofficial recruiting visits - Assist the head coach with maintaining up to date compliance forms - Assist the head coach in monitoring the academic progress of the student-athletes - Oversee golf team community service activities and other promotional events Show less

  Director of Instruction

  Matt currently serves as the Director of Instruction at TPC Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. He specializes in competitive player development with a concentration in shortgame. His students compete at every level from junior golf all the way through national level USGA events and the professional tours.Henderson is a Class A member of the PGA of America and carries advanced certifications from the Titleist Performance Institute, BodiTrak, and FlightScope. Matt came to TPC Las Vegas from The University of Tennessee where he served as the Director of Instruction for the Men’s Golf Team, he has previously worked with Golf Digest Top 5 instructor Dave Pelz in Boca Raton, Florida.Since 2013, Matt has consistently been ranked among the top five teachers in Nevada by Golf Digest and is a member of the magazine’s elite “Best Young Teachers” list. He has earned multiple PGA honors including the 2013 Teacher of the Year and Player Development Awards. Matt’s first book, Realtime Scoring, is slated to be released in the fall of 2018. Show less
