      Professional Athlete

As a professional mountain bike racer and adventure athlete, I worked towards spreading the excitement and passion of mountain biking and inspiring others to get involved through coaching opportunities and clinics, writing, social media and racing. My goals were geared towards the successful, sustainable growth of the bike industry, creating healthy relationships with mainstream media outlets and getting and keeping women and girls on bikes while diversifying cycling and addressing real issues hampering the growth and success of cycling in the US outdoor market. • KingPro Marketing

      Mar 2011 - now
Business Development & Brand Strategist - Owner

I work closely with each of my clients to develop a comprehensive, individualized approach that will elevate and distinguish their brands, people and ideas in the ever-changing landscape of marketing and engagement. Prioritizing relationships over blast marketing and building interconnected communities rather than shoring up a customer base, I help people decide what comes next for their brand or organization, and then define which direction they'd like to go and how they're going to get there. Imagining a way forward is always exciting, but dreams and mission statements can become convoluted and foggy amidst the demands of daily operations; I take the guesswork out of the decision-making equation through an innovative combination of data-based strategies, market research and cutting-edge resources based on a brand's custom parameters to lower the stakes and mitigate risks. By engineering a custom and wholistic branding road map through a working partnership with me, companies reap the benefits of an established marketing department without living through (and paying for!) the headache that is finding and hiring the elusive 'perfect' team to deliver what can often be an uncertain or unreliable outcome. From SEO/SEM and social media integration to digital out of home advertising and even linear broadcast media, our goal is to precisely reach the right audiences at the perfect moment. Marketing's greatest value is creating a memorable, unique connection... That's what we do. Show less

    • KORE Refrigeration

      Oct 2019 - Mar 2020
Controls & Service Technician + Team Lead

From low-voltage energy management and control systems installation and complete integration to commercial refrigeration install, commissioning, service, maintenance and repair, I did a lot of everything, including final inspections and green tags, permitting and business registration, employee onboarding and training, new employee certifications and technical and mechanical daily planning, coordination with inspectors, project managers and site GC/Supervisors, etc. We installed and maintained IPR and comfort cooling systems as well as energy management for new construction. During the first four months of my tenure, I spearheaded the opening of our newest branch in Albuquerque, NM while personally facilitating and securing a multi-year $20M annual HVAC service contract with Maverik, Inc during the construction of seven new gas stations in the greater Albuquerque area for Maverik as well as multiple other projects including installation and retrofitting of new EMS and HVAC/R systems to comply with and exceed industry standards for energy efficiency and refrigerant compliance. Also acquired my Universal 608 HVAC/R certification during the first 90 days of my employment, with successful results the first attempt. I was the first woman at the company to become a regional supervisor as well as a lead installer and technician lead and was the only female employee working towards a full electrician's license at the time of my layoff in 2020 due to COVID-19. • The Bike Coop

      Aug 2020 - Sept 2023
      Business Owner

What began as a business management contract with the owner of a historic Albuquerque bike shop during the COVID19 pandemic became a full-scale, emergency ownership transition only a few short months later. With service tickets dating back to 2016, I took over all shop operations including payroll, accounting, hiring & staff management, buying/receiving and inventory creation and management, AP/AR, etc. We began 2021 by launching multiple new shop programs including a community-geared co-op build-out and accompanying free educational series, a full-scale ecommerce operation for in-store and curbside pick-up, and spearheaded an ambitious 2.5 year, multi-million dollar brand and retail location transformation that brought The Bike Coop from the brink of closure to the forefront of the Southwest's cycling community and Albuquerque's number-one community-voted shop. We led the way forward with a creative, innovative and profitable hybridized business model that prioritized people and community first with an emphasis on inclusion, accessibility and widening cycling's audience.Major pillars included an overhaul of shop operations such as inventory management implementation and bike service and repair, in addition to changing our business model to a built-to-suit custom bike offering that met our customers' unique needs and prevented inventory backup as well as increased the shop's profit margins substantially. We leaned into our reputation as a mainstay of Albuquerque's bright cycling history even as we expanded our service and repair operations to meet the modern needs of e-bikes and electronic components, and further invested in the Albuquerque community via non-profit bike giveaways +building a cooperative working space. We unabashedly committed to our staff with industry-leading pay, benefits & education, and offered entry-level opportunities for new mechanics. The renovation of our retail space was accessibility-driven and created new shopping experiences for all. Show less

    • City of Albuquerque

      May 2023 - Aug 2024
      Self-Represented Litigant & Paralegal

Due to numerous, intentional and egregious violations of my rights under New Mexico and US Federal laws prior to and during Albuquerque Police Department's drawn-out malicious criminal prosecution against me in 2023, I filed multiple successful civil suits against the City of Albuquerque, the Albuquerque Police Department and the officers involved, as a self-represented litigant. These lawsuits required full-time, round-the-clock work and vast legal preparation and self-education on my part, including but not limited to extensive legal research and analysis; court document creation, preparation and filing including complaints, motions, briefs, appeals, exhibits and evidence lists; impeccable case research and record keeping; public documentation examination, filing and collection management; evidence collection, examination, organization and filing; trial and hearing preparation, and extensive record keeping. During the same 18-month span between May 2023 and November 2024, I was also forced into fighting a separate and concurrent legal battle to secure and protect my newly-acquired housing when a lease contract with a predatory, harassing landlord turned unlawful and criminal on his end, and gained an extensive education in state and federal housing law.In each of these cases and matters, I prevailed despite an obvious disadvantage as a civilian with no legal education nor expertise, as well as gaining an invaluable and practical working knowledge of civil rights and housing law, the legal system and the many ways everyday citizens are disenfranchised by the privileged and the powerful. The traumatic and immense nature of these cases and the immediate threats presented to my very survival required that I rise to each occasion and adapt. Show less

    • Osuna Nursery & Greenhouses

      Sept 2023 - Oct 2023
      Marketing Director

Took on a marketing director role for a mid-size garden center with an outsized work demand and very limited foundations and, within a three-week span, transformed a disconnected hodge-podge of pieces into a fully unified and turnkey marketing operation. This full-scale, single-person effort included establishing a Google SEO/SEM suite back-end and the initialization and commissioning of each Google app as well as the subsequent integration with all Osuna properties (website, social media, CRM/email client and retail POS) with the requisite Google platforms (Google Ads, Analytics, Merchant Center, Search Console, Business Center, Think Insights, Trends, FVM, Developer, Drive, Webmaster, etc.) to consolidate and streamline all digital operations, in addition to website overhauls, online branding, etc. to establish and facilitate more comprehensive data collection, analysis, reporting and use for longterm operational benefit. My role as Marketing Director also included streamlining and auditing the annual budget for the marketing department for the remainder of 2023 and all of 2024, in addition to quarterly planning and reporting, expense management and other financial duties; I was in charge of all advertising planning and account management, overseeing all digital and outside advertising buys and contract negotiations including broadcast, print, native, display, social, paid and streaming/OTT and OOH. This was in addition to managing all creative assets and daily content conceptualization, construction, creation, planning and execution. I was also responsible for all event creation and planning, as well as all in-house retail branding and promotional materials, including signage, brochures, weekly sales information and more. The scope of this role was extremely wide-ranging and intensive without commensurate pay, benefit or organizational support, resulting in my premature resignation despite so much success, so quickly.
