  I developed a curriculum in Travel and Tourism for those interested in training for jobs as travel agents, airline ticket agents, tour guides, hotel personnel, and travel related jobs. I developed, organized, and chaired this program from 1975-1994, when I transferred to the Counseling Dept. at San Diego Mesa College. This program was reorganized and chaired by a professor who had an advanced degree in Hospitality Services. The program is still very successful in training and employing students in the hospitality industry. Show less

  I'm small and petite, with a great abundance of energy and love of family and friends. I love to play golf, and am not terrific, but do hit a "straight drive"! I also play my trumpet in two concert bands and one dance band, and spend much time with my 5 wonderful grandchildren. As a single person, I really enjoy my family and special friends. Life is wonderful, and very blessed!I do like to meet other single people, and enjoy going out on dates...sometimes playing golf leads to new friendships. I love the ocean, boogie boarding, long walks on the Mission Hills Trails behind my condo, and just have a good time with friends and family. I have a quick wit and a good sense of humor and friends say I have a warm, caring smile. Show less

  I work with patients who are considering treatment for Hepatitis C. In facilitating the group, I lead discussions as to current treatments and upcoming trials for Hepatitis C. The participants share their experience with their treatments, and new participants gather information in deciding whether or not to join a treatment program. There is much to consider, cost of treatment, percentages of successful treatment therapies and possible side effects. This sharing gives each person a wealth of information and practical experience from others who have participated in Hepatitis C treatments. The success and recovery rate is remarkable...almost 80%, as compared to 20-30% in the year 2000. Show less
