  ​Mid Norfolk Canopies and Trailers Ltd – Workshop ​Supervisor/ Mechanical EngineerMy main responsibilities are the servicing and repair of Ifor Williams and Hudson Trailers; fabrication of trailer components and general mechanical and engineering duties. I am competent in the use of power tools, air operated tools and other heavy mechanical equipment. I am a confident MiG Welder and fully qualified to operate a Counter-balance fork-lift truck which I use to load and off load trailers and heavy trailer components. My other duties include the day to day running of the busy workshop, this involves booking customers requirements into the daily work schedule, dealing with customer issues and problems. Show less

  ​As an Authorised Level 7 Technician my main responsibility is ​to lead a team of 4 technicians during the service and ​maintenance of Wind Turbines Offshore at Sheringham Shoal ​Wind Farm. It is my responsibility to ensure all electrical and ​mechanical isolations are in place prior to starting a service, I ​give a safety briefing at the start of each shift and all works are ​carried out whilst adhering to strict company AWP's. This ​ensures my team are able to work in a safe environment at all ​times. I pride myself on achieving maximum productivity from ​the team by always maintaining a high team morale and good ​comradery. I constantly reassess dangers or risks which may ​occur throughout the working day. I am accountable for ​ensuring all tools are calibrated and in good working order ​whilst guaranteeing all parts are available for the required job. ​Another role I have been given the responsibility of covering is ​the wind turbine end of warranty walk downs for the customer.​Wind Turbine Troubleshooting is also a major element of my ​job which includes component changes, these can vary from ​electrical thermal relays to gearboxes. I take great satisfaction ​in finding solutions to any issue or problem the turbine may ​have in the shortest time possible therefore guaranteeing the ​turbine is working at its full productive potential as quickly as ​possible. However I am happy to take as long as is needed to ​rectify any problem to ensure a high level of maintenance and ​preventative maintenance is achieved in a completely safe ​manner. Show less
